The aim of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to promote and enhance the community life at our school. Members are invited to meet once a month to discuss and plan special events e.g. Open House, International Coffee, the Summer Festival, Book Fairs, St. Martin’s Lantern Festival and Halloween. The PTO also helps the school throughout the year with different events and activities. They often combine school events with raising money for extra educational requirements.

An important goal of the PTO is to support each teacher during their time in Weimar. Together with the office staff, they help them to settle in Weimar; often assisting with practicalities related to housing and administrative formalities. Introductions and explanations of the local traditions such as “Fasching” and “Advent Tea” are shared to make teachers’ stay more enjoyable.

The PTO is a way for all parents to become involved in school life.
