The Thuringia International School – Weimar is a developing international school in the cultural center of Weimar Germany.  ThIS– Weimar is an IB World School offering the IB Primary Years Programme to grades Pre-School – 5, the internationally recognized IB Diploma Programme to students in Grades 11 and 12, and is implementing the IGCSE into the curriculum of grades 8 – 10.

Your pre-application is a non-binding contract which temporarily reserves a place for your child at ThIS.  A formal contract outlining the conditions for admission and attendance at the school must be signed by a child’s parent(s) and the school's director, and is required before a child is accepted and formally enrolled at ThIS.

The final decision on which grade level a child will attend is made by the director and is not necessarily determined by the grade level for which an application was made. We will be happy to give you more detailed information at a personal appointment.  A tour of the school and a trial day for prospective students can be arranged by appointment.

ThIS – Weimar is offering five (5) full tuition, three year scholarships to students entering the graduating class of 2012 for their 10th grade year (starting date: 10. August 2009).  Please send in the scholarship form.

Candidates will be subjected to an entrance exam.
